Sure their are a few cons to the DLE, but it’s almost perfect by many, many means. When I first played this a few years back, I was very surprised to see the amount of fun you can have by doing whatever you want, which I never really seen at the time. Overall, the game has a great community and has some nice aspects for a sandbox game. Even your items may get added to the game one day if they seem good enough to be added into the game along with a touch of functionality by the dev if your item/weapon gets added. Of course, those can take patience to get used to, but with a lot of practice and tutorials, you can easily work on items and even test them out for yourself.
Outside the game, you can create content such as items in the MaD Lab and weapons using MaD Depot. Finally, their are some nice hidden easter eggs and references in the game with some content. Bugs & glitches in this game can be a bit wonky at times, but their “wonkiness” makes the game more fun (unless something game breaking happens, which is very unlikely). There is no “endgame” (that is unless you have one in mind of course) and there is no “objective” (unless you want to set one up yourself of course). You can roleplay with the dolls, slaughter them, test them with things, and much more. Sandbox GameĪnyways, the game plays out like a simple sandbox game where any forms of destruction, goals, levels, contracts etc. As a person who has played this for a few years now, it’s a great game that has evolved a lot. However, the downloadable edition is there to just support the developer (-rava) and it’s not gonna hurt you or him purchasing the game. Besides, their are a few other places you can get it from (itch.io or Kartridge), or you can play the game in your browser for absolutely no cost at all. Sure, you can say to yourself why it’s $10 for this very good flash game, but it is the exact same as the other versions (receiving updates on par with each other, no exclusive content bs, and the same amount of fun). No goals at all (obviously because of it being a sandbox), can absolutely run on any computer (unless it’s an awful potato computer from the early 2000s), and contains a huge load of fun for such a small file.

There’s also MaDLab, which allows you to edit items to add in the game. If you’re not sure about it, try it out on Kongregate before purchasing it on Steam :). Make your ragdoll hold and fire weapons, wear clothing and armour, release murderous flying drones and a lot more in this little but big sandbox game. Except you have all the extra accessories which you could only wish to buy, and you can also brutally murder your dolls and not have to worry about your parents not buying you any replacements. With 1750 items in-game, it’s like playing with the dolls from your childhood all over again.

This is the best 2D Ragdoll murdering simulator of all time. About the gameĭon’t go by my hours played, I’ve probably played it for dozens of hours on Kongregate already. It should be reachable with a decent system in a reasonable ragdoll-mutilating scenario, but since it is a sandbox game it is very possible to tank the fps by doing crazy sandbox stuff. It can be upscaled and fullscreened at the cost of performance. The resolution is a bit weird 1066×600 (16:9) due to being developed on the web. MaD2 is an established web game being released here packaged with Adobe AIR due to web Flash end-of-life. The game itself is pretty great in my biased opinion, and has provided some dedicated players hundreds of hours of gameplay, but there are some technical things I for one would want to know when buying a game.
